Re: #11 GT AddisAbaba 14th April 2013
I thank your PC : thanks to it, I win a place! lol
As Sm!e I didn't practice, just half an hour before race : so I made better than Sm!e 14th place on Qualy.
5 min before qualy, my Master Engineer, Bunny Wailer, took his Mega-calculator to scientificaly determinate what will be the best strategy.
He calculated that 30-20 min strategy will be better, if I do at list 50" by lap in average (what is slow but not too much, that just ask to not crash too much).
Quite rapidly at the begining of the race I was last. I still suffer of concentration problems, so I loose the contact with Sm!e. In 3 laps he tooked me about 10".
After that I retrieved concentration and a good rythm (49" of average). At the end of my 30min run I was 8th.
When I get back the track after my Pit-Stop I was 12th.
Just behind a group with Thomas, Lady Kirsten, Sulfite, Midnight and sm!e... I passed Midnight and chased after Sulfite and Thomas. I crashed a bit and loose again about 5" in 2 or 3 laps.
Then the guys in front of me stop too. At this moment I had a really good concentration and run 48" in average (getting the 11th best lap in 48"00, I never ran that fast here).
Only Thomas catch me back and stayed just behind me for the last laps. I could stay in front by doing a great move in the last corner (very important corner). In the last lap, I thought too fast that my 7th place was secured. Loose concentration and hit a wall. Thomas in fact was just behind and passed me over immediatly (and shouting "shit" in french a bit loudly, so my pit engineer shout after "Sut your mouth up, you'll wake up the childs".
Then I gave all what I had to catch him back getting closer and closer, but crashed again, so Thomas win this battle. Good Game Thomas.
So that was a great race for me, the best ever.
I did such result, but never with so much good racer like Sulfite, Jahombre and MidnightMan behind me.
Next track is really challenging cause it don't forgive any mistakes.
The championship before the last one I did a good result because I stayed on my 4 wheels and on the track, I hope I will do so.
By the way I never expected such a result. So I am really happy. And the CEO of the Team Nesta Marley, and the Team Manager, Peter Tosh congratulated me warmly.
The BMW motors team marked good points cause Sulfite was not far away.
